Ceremonies

Rites of passage, like coming of age, marriage, or other types of initiations are culturally and historically marked by rituals or ceremonies. This is no accident. Symbols and metaphor speak the language of the subconscious, and thus are a primal source of deep transformation. The subconscious takes in the symbolic information and integrates it so the individual's conscious reality is altered.

A customized, well-designed ceremony facilitates transitions like job changes, the birth of a child, evolving/dissolving relationships,  or retirement. As an ordained minister in the state of Washington, I can perform legal weddings and officiate at other life passages.*

It is not necessary to wait for a major life event, however, to leverage the power of ritual to make changes in your subconscious and in your life. With three decades of experience and education in psychology, cultural anthropology, religious studies, and metaphysics, the rituals I design are unique and relevant for many other kinds of passages, such as menopause, a Saturn return, or a search for your life purpose.

*Important note: Although most states recognize ordination through the Universal Life Church, there are a few who do not. Currently I am aware that Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, New York, Pennsylvania, and Utah may not recognize me as a marriage officiant. But since I am only available to perform weddings in Washington, Oregon, or California, it has not been an issue. (I may consider other states if requested, but travel expenses would need to be covered.)
