Privacy Policy
Since very few people read these things, I have opted to use the smaller font to create the optical illusion that it was crafted by attorneys. In reality, these are my own thoughts, a bit tongue in cheek.
I have no interest in putting cookies on your computer or automatically collecting or storing your information in any way (nor do I wish to research the technical logistics of how I would do that), so I solemnly swear that... I will not do that. The only cookies you will ever get from me are the kind with chocolate chips in them. And that's only for clients and friends. And really, I'm more of a pie maker, anyway.
The only information I will collect is what you submit on the consultation request form or through what you voluntarily provide to me through your profile on social media sites. That information is entered by me into my own contacts and is not shared with anyone else or used for any purpose except to attempt to satisfy your request for services.
My client records are maintained in a password protected computer and backed up on a password protected server. I do not associate your actual name with any notes I may have taken for my own benefit. I never reveal details, even acknowledging whether or not you are a client, without your express permission. The only exception would be if I receive a court order for my files, in which case I would consult my attorney to see if I must comply. In that event, I would only reveal to the appropriate legal authority to which I had been specifically court-ordered to report.
Likewise, the contact information you provide directly to me is stored in my own laptop or through the online cloud services that support iPhone, Mac and Gmail. In the event that I am hacked, it is possible that your contact information could fall into the hands of the forces of evil. I believe, however, that is a low-likelihood event, but you will have to decide for yourself whether that is an acceptable risk in sharing your contact information with me.
I cannot offer the same privacy assurances for the social media services and web host provider to which I am connected. Please refer to the privacy policies at Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Gmail,(my email provider) and Weebly (this web host) to see how they handle information you might share through their platforms, such as profiles, messages, tweets, likes and comments, even if you are doing so through my portal pages.
